I take off the original wire and push the yellow. Thats all

My 2001, 250 x9 does 0-60 in about 17 seconds also. This is crap. My 30 year old honda c90 does it in 12.5 seconds with no mods and 50,000+ on the clock. The book says the 250 should do 0-60 mph in 10.5 seconds. Everything else about the x9 is good but acceleration is laughable, I will follow onurx9's progress with interest

I don't think the 250 could do 0-60 in 10.5 secs.
Maybe 15 secs.

Without getting personal how much do you weigh, as it'd be easier for you to lose two stones and improve power/weight than trying to get the bike lighter/faster!
