Hello.

Well today my Pride and Joy, the Yellow X9 250SL i have owned for last 10 years, i decided to part with, been impossible to find carb for it etc and silencers, Last time money was spent on it was a set of Brand new Rear shocks and a brand new ( barn find ) Foresight silencer, with new back wheel and tyre, i Decided even tho the X9 500 is twice has heavy & juicer as my 250, it was getting 230 miles a fill up on the 250SL, I now have 3x back up electric center stand lifts units and since iv got it working on the 500 it helps get the 500 on stand which is hard with me having a plated hip and metal rod in leg, and on that note alone having the stand, triggered me me to sell the 250 and keep 500, A lot found the electric stand a gimmick but helps so much, prob why the BMW R1300lt has the electrics stand on there bikes...Amazing how it looks like a copy of the X9s  .

I sold the X9 250SL for silly money, Just £300 as there old and obsolete, its hard to get a good price, Sold the bike with 3 Headlights, 4 Digi-dash units, 4 wheels sets, 4 sets of panels, 2 engines and a few more bits just to clear out my garage of parts.

I have the 250 Yellow panels on the X9 500 now and a new yellow front fairing on that BOB ( unchained ) sent me, including his Waterproof dash protector. I did a big ride out with loads of scooters and marshalling by over taking and rushing to the front i did find the 500 had a mid range flat spot about 40- 50mph but think ill sort that out or it could be just how the 500 is.

Hoping once weather is warm to head up to lakes  / Preston or Lancaster

Ride safe, not sure how many people still visit here.

Sympathise with you, but I do understand.
