Hi

In an effort to bring the X9 to life abit as age is showing, rusty SL silencer and panels going very faded gray, i have manage to apply under coat to the Sl silencer before then applying high temp paint, and the gray plastics applying black plastic paint:

This one isn't to bad:

the silencer under coat :

I have applied about 5 layers of Black High temp paint but still doesn't look brilliant, I have a chrome one to put on but needs the down pipe changing from SL pipe to Evo down pipe, but looking at them header bolts so rusty after 23 yrs i dont want to touch them.

I have applied a wind buffer thing on my screen and that helps alot with the wind and noise.

I wouldn't use paint on the plastics. Look for plastic dye instead, it's not permanent but lasts a year or two, better than the wax type.
Paint always looks false and cracks and once applied is impossible to get off so ruins the panel.
