Hello guys.

When my Next MOT is due at end of the year, i am expecting my Yellow X9 after 23 years to fail MOT and go to the scrapper, due to the Vin number on the frame under the seat been faded and no longer read by MOT inspector ( he tried ) the Vin sticker thats normaly under steat is missing as its had a different seat bucket fitted off on another X9 when old underset had a hole in it.

So MY X9 has no Vin, the last MOT the guy used the V5 but informed me that he should not do it via V5 as he needs to confirm the bike matches the V5 via vin, for reason like fraud or if its stolen.

What do i do in this situation, scrap it or do any of you know where you can get the Piaggio X9 under seat gray Vin Sticker ?

Many thanks

will a wire brush not clean up the number on the frame sufficiently? The number can only have been affected by rust and shouldn't fade as its embossed on.

What is your VIN and colour code, I can send you a label to print off and stick on. The tester won't look that closely.
