Hi all.

I have been trying to replace my Log book, and the new V5s now ask for the Bike VIN number, that would be ok but my VIN as all X9s are on the inside of the seat on a gray paper, years of knocks and rubs mine has worn away, the one on the Bar under the seat Stamped on is frame number not vin.

My qeastion is, where els is the VIN number on the X9 ? with out this Vin number my beloved Yellow X9 is scrap.

Try https://cardotcheck.co.uk/vin-check it works for my X9 and for £9 you can get a full printout. I hink the VIN is included in the cheaper option as well. Quicker than pulling half the bike to pieces to find it's either not there or illegible....no wait it only gives last few digits. I guess for security there will not be a way to do this on-line.

Just had a look in the owners handbook for the 500evo,it states a number stamped on the gearbox/belt casing. Not sure if the 250 is the same. Is it not on older MOT certificates or have you lost those as well?

Bob's right, it's on the top corner of the MOT printouts. You have one of those don't you?

Is the VIN the same as the frame number? If so it is under a plastic cover in the seat storage. I had to show it to the customs guys when I imported my x9.

I thought the above, I had to find it for the MOT guy, I'm sure it was there on one of the 3 x9's I had.
