Well, as predicted, the X10 was indeed a write off, all in all, I got just under 4 grand for the lot, ( scrappage and 3rd party cheque) so it's not too bad considering I was thinking of getting shot of it udue to my partners illness with her spine, and being unable to ride it anymore. It's a kinda bittersweet moment, it was a fantasic scooter, and a very comfortable ride, and it did bring us both a whole lot of fun. We had thoughts of doing a whole lot more with the X10, but I kinda guess what with Jule's back problems we couldn't go on anymore....

Time for (yet) another scooter, perhaps back to a GTS. I've had two in the past, so I know my way round them, and they are pretty reliable...we'll see...

With that in mind, I've got the original X10 flyscreen and a pair (left/rightt) of rear grab rails in Orione grey (build year 2012-13, model code EGTEEVAHR1 NGTEN2AU01, frame number ZAPM76300) knocking around my garage- free, just pay the postage, or pick them up from my place in St Neots Cambs if you want them! I'm also going to sell a pair of Mitchelin city grip brand new front and rear tyres on ebay for £60 for the pair, pickup only, but before I do, I'll offer them to you lot first if you want them!

I am aware that the X10 didn't really sell here in the UK, and it's a shame, as it's a lovely scooter, and i'm at a loss as to why it never took off, but I'll still drop in on this forum from time to time just to see how you (allbeit) dwindling crowd are out there- and if I do see oneof you lot out there, I'll give you a toot on what scooter I might end up!

Safe riding out there, and enjoy your X10!

The GTS300 is nice. Get one of those for the occasional sunny day ride out, Tax it in April for 6 months and just take out a weekend insurance for the times you want to use it rather than a full annual policy. I did that with the Sym so I could ride it for a couple of days after delivery, £25 for 2 days (£12 for 1 day). If you do a full year then cancel they charge you a fee plus you don't get the whole balance back.

Same here! Did sometimes give me back ache tho. If I kept it I was going to try taking off the bum stop, thus giving an extra couple inches of leeway rearwards, but then how to block up the screw holes to keep the rain out. (?)

My ol gal finally went after a mix up a fortnight back, from perfectly serviceable scoot to scrapper thanks to the Moraless who think they have a right to remove ones property.https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=2573816632731491&set=pcb.2573824572730697&type=3&__tn__=HH-R&eid=ARBYMQTUbkkIo-5e9ybJfavAUvzgR9FPIVIR4TZmBWnMyJ9wTHtywDP7r5yMyFhtQgImJTHBOAi30YFE
