Hello

So i had my car remapped and it runs amazing and the MPG is better..... i was thinking of getting an old X9 500.

Can these X9500 Ie be remapped too for better MPG or remapped for better power tune? I do love my X9 250 even tho i have almost rebuilt it from crank up, but a 500 to play on, not to use for work as i work for amazon deliveries now, but just priuly x9500 for fun ride outs.

As most dealers struggled to remap any upgrades that Piaggio sent out, I doubt any of them bothered to try and program there own but someone somewhere would have tried.
The easiest thing to do is fit Dr Pulley's and a K&N air filter and leave the very sensitive ECU well alone.
If you can find a good 500SL, that has never had thermostat problems, then I find that they run richer than the Evo model and do have a little more power. The newer the model the leaner they ran to try and fit with EU emissions.

You could use an ECU from a nexus but you would need the decoder and master key chip and it would need to be a MK1 Nexus as the Mk2 was different. The Nexus had a little more grunt in it than a 500 X9.
