Hi, just having this new issue: When starting at the morning (engine totally cold) it starts, but idle is not stable and after about 30 seconds engine always stop. Then after restarting everything is fine. Starting from hot no issue. I had the injector cleaned in ultrasonic bath because engine totally died two months ago. Any guess ? Is injector clogging again ? Thanks in advance.

My Beverly 350 had a green coloured suppressor cap which needed upgrading, very difficult to remove without cracking it. Have a look at it, it is hard to put back on the plug top properly. It could be not a good fit and under the cold start it does not make good contact because of the increased vibration.

You shouldn't have dirt in the fuel these days and it doesn't deteriorate like it used to. Not in the UK so not even in Italy! Sound more electrical to stall always after a pre-set time interval. Something thermal so check out that plug cap.

My first guess would be an accumulation of deposits in the inlet tract in the region of the extra air valve ( idle control valve) and butterfly. Might be worth taking it off and cleaning with carb cleaner spray. This is fairly common when breathers are routed back into the inlet and you might also have an air filter which is excessively oily. The idle system ( hot or cold ) is a closed loop feedback system which should always maintain the idling at a set rpm. If it can't do that the air control valve is the thing most likely to be sticking a bit. Having said that if the injector has played up before you can't rule it out.

My white one has the later improved HT lead and cap, however as above still difficult to make sure it's clicked on plug properly, I didn't one service after that it could misfire and do odd things. To be fair tho it managed an 850 miles tour like that.

Hi guys, thank you very much for the contributes, you are wonderful. As many suspected suppressor cap, so first try: new suppresor cap with new cable set and new spark plug: same behaviour. 2nd: butterfly dismounted and full cleaned: same behaviour. Now I suspect two things: partially clogged injector or contaminated fuel. Next try is to almost empty the tank and make a new fill from another pump than usual. If this will not cure, I'm going to replace injector because I found it on ebay for only 30 euros. I will keep you updated. Thanks again

Mmmmh, Thinking I'm getting near. I noticed a rubber bad condition joint from butterfly to head. If i get moving it at idle, it becomes unstable. Just ordered a new coupling and let's see.

A split inlet manifold? This used to be a problem on 125 and 250's with carbs when the hard rubber manifold perished and cracked. Never known of it since Fi became the norm. Well spotted.
