Hi all, just a quick question-Does anyone know where to get grommets(That cover the screws) for these mirrors? I'm sure they were on there,so when the mechanic's chums offloaded the bike from the van-it was on a slope,so when the side stand was applied it just keeled over The n/s mirror was broken,so they had to get a new replacement I have a feeling that they were present before being replaced-because they have never been broken before. Any ideas/info would be greatly received

Hi Homes, these grommets, bolt covers are as rare as hens teeth. My new evo from Thompsons came without and it was only luck that the workshop had some "old ones", probably off someother poor sods bike. They are handed, but the long ones do fit either side.I use a little double sided tape just to make sure they stay on. I also remove them to somewhere safe before I put the bike in the shop, too easy to loose.
I asked my local master dealer if he could get me 2 sets, (as spares ), but he told me they come with the mirrors and are not sold separately! Absolute rubbish ofcourse. I have bought 2 mirrors, and have never had those covers included.
I would be interested in how you get on if you persue this search for the holy grail! haha.
Chris.

They are sold separately, I bought a set from Fowlers recently. I assumed from the price that you would get several sets in a pack - but no - one set, either left or right for several £ a throw. Even then the small ones would not fit over the screws on Jackie's bike, and one of my small ones disappeared at the last service. frankly I don't think they are worth the bother.
