chassis number

can anyone tell me where i will find the chassis number, on X9 500 i am looking at a bike next week and just want to make sure log book matches chassis.

There's a metallic sticker inside the under-seat storage with the VIN number and the engine number pre-fix.  The rest of the engine number should be on the transmission cover just under the LHS lower shock mounting.

It's also stamped into the frame under a little removable panel below the power socket under the seat. You'll be lucky to read it though as it gets full of mud and goes rusty!
