Isn't it strange how bikes know that they're being sold!

We're trading Jules' 250 evo in tomorrow for her new Burgman and what happens?

The fuel gauge sender unit dismantles itself.

We discovered this when the gauge went to empty and a knocking could be heard inside the tank.

After I opened up the tank I had a very long fishing session with screwdrivers, forks and a long piece of solder shaped as a hook. (Even remembered not to smoke to relieve the boredom and frustration )

Eventually I retrieved all the parts , including the two springs but then the question was; how to workout how it all goes back together?

This site never fails to provide the answer does it?

And thats what I'm going to miss the most when after going on 8 years and 100 thousand X9 miles between the pair of us, we no longer have an X9 in the house.
