sorry - also posted in general bike discussion by mistake...

anyway:

after months of prowling ebay and waiting for some spare cash i've bagged a 2002 250 (sl?) with 13,000 on it in generally nice condition for a song.

really liking it so far - so much more relaxing than a motorbike.

so, wondering if people could give me 'things to watch for / check / improve' suggestions. the headraces are fine, the drive casing as a nice big hole from the centre stand (now removed) exhaust is fine. the 'swinging arm' bearings appear to have a little waggle movement, but it rides v stable. the digidash all works but i should waterproof it better? shocks are v rusty, but work...

came with a huge aftermarket screen on it which i could not see over and so was lethal in the dark - 14cm now removed from the top - is this also the case with standard screens? i'm 5'8" so quite normal really!

also, wonder if anyone can help me out with copies of the owners manual and a workshop manual, as i'll be doing the spannering.

many thanks all
