When you contact Insurance they always ask Y O U what the value of machine is!
Ok, my yellow baby is an X9 500 SL and first registered in 2002 on 07th of February. Has top box - Heated grips as extras, the rest is plain old machine which has done about 17,800 miles to-date.
Now, anyone out there able to give an estimated pricing...(yes I would say this...) It is in good running condition and body work looks very good !!
So, please advise what  am looking at if I wanted to sell / or value for insuring ?

The extras do not come under 'value' for insurance. Have a look at Parkers prices -http://www.parkers.co.uk/motorbikes/used-prices/#

All I ever tell them is 'market value'. Same for my car. They only ever give you bottom book anyway, they know exactly what its worth. If you paid £5k and next day wrote it off and bottom book was perhaps £4k, thats all you get.Robbers the lot of them.
