X9 500 ( was the first ) ?????

While looking at some bikes i came across a nice looking BMW bike, and it says :

Well thats wrong isn't it . The Piaggio X9 500 was the first, as Piaggio came up with that.

Correct.

Although the BMW K 1200 LT has been in production since 1999, they only introduced the electric centre stand onto it in 2004.

The X9 beat them to it.

the X9 was there first they shouldn't discredit the X9 like that.

They are just being snooty. They deem the BMW to be the first 'proper' motorcycle to have one. The X9 is only a scooter.
