Change the oil and reset the light.
It's a service reminder icon that's all. Flashes every 2,000 miles as a level check reminder and as a change oil reminder depending on the actual increment.
There is a reset switch under the front panel above the headlights if someone hasn't already re-located it into the glovebox or under the coolant filler flap.
Instructions for resetting are on the main website.

Hi Mr.

First you must put in new oil. Then pick the mirrors.

Pick up the cover of headlight

Here is the RES button. Oil light turns off, if you press the RES button for 10 seconds.

I think if you're very careful/lucky you can reach/poke the button through the slot with a screw-driver without taking off the panel.

Now you tell us that, Mr Chips, after I went to all the trouble to move it to the coolant filler flap!!  Never crossed my mind,  real ingenuity!

Then, while you're at it (with the front cover off), unhook the reset button from its mount and thread it into the right-side glove compartment. Then , you'll never have to take the tupperware off to push the reset button again.

This takes two people with some telepathic skills to accomplish the actual icon reset though.
