Its a silver one with  no Evo mirrors just standard ones but a Evo screen, the seat is 2 tone gray with 500 on it, Has PICS and Electric stand.

Don't touch it with a big stick especially at that particular dealers.
It's a 'bits-er' from the scrap bits box and will cost you dearly long term.
If you really must have it, then £250 top whack as it must be an SL so therefore got the £80 belt which it will need, plus it may be the old ECU with the fuelling problems and unable to be remapped (if they even have a clue how to!) and will need various servicing parts to get it mobile and reliable.
Look elsewhere for a later model, it'll be cheaper in the long run.

A 500SL that has been left untouched for two years will need about GBP400 spending in parts alone - BTDTGTTS.  Plus the cost of a new stainless exhaust if it hasn't got one yet.  I'd pay GBP100 for it without new exhaust, GBP400 with, and then have a bike that cost GBP800 and was worth about GBP1000.  Only consider it if you are willing to do all the work yourself.  Oh, and you'll need to restrict it unless doing DAS.

So the far better bet is to find a 250 (SL or EVO) for about the same amount of money - GBP1000.  The difference in performance will be just fine, plus it's considered by many (myself included) as the best all-rounder.

According to the Workshop the X9 500 has all been done up and all part replaced don't know which ones, as for the exhaust its the original and not even rusted, its been kept inside. but they said it runs and all parts replaced and is low millage, i believe a guy dropped it off for a service and never returned for it so under law the work shop toke ownership of the X9.

But if you think i should give it a miss then ill prob look on ebay.

I will see what price they offer, if its cheap then i could buy  X9 500 off ebay and this bike-shop X9 500 and use as spears to the current one i would buy on ebay......or is that a bad idea?

Will the dealer give you any sort of guarantee - at least on the new parts? You won't get one on an Ebay purchase.

It Runs.
It develops no Engine or transmission problems in 3 months.
And no major  engine problems in 3 months .

Or money back!    ill get him to write it down and stamp and sign it, then its a legal contract, if he is so confidence its prefect ruining order he would do that .....

If nothing of anykind ill say no thanks on you bike!

Worth a punt - it's the sort of thing I'd risk - but I wouldn't advise it in your situation.  Is your manual test on a 125 or a >35kW bike?

Might be selling my X9 500 ie as I finally bought a Honda Deauville. I bought my X9 in March and i've had a fair bit of work done on it - two new tyres, reset button moved under the brake fluid flap, centre stand fixed, rack fitted, serviced a couple of weeks ago, even has 6months warranty still (pretty sure its transferable). Really love the X9, but i'm really really enjoying the Deauville and i'm more comfortable on it doing long distances. My X9 is a 2003 reg and only has around 4500miles on it (presently waiting for new mileage counter as mine died after i left it out in a very bad rain storm! I'll get the new one sealed!!), it's a Cat C bike and spent some time in storage before i bought it. Unlike the one you're looking at i've had mine for a few months, used it daily and I've had all the niggly stuff fixed! It's got some touched up scratches as it got dropped in a car park and it's had a respray in the past, but otherwise its fine. I'd never make a saleswomen - it does look quite smartly really. Think i've pretty much got it spot on now but i'm temporally working in the Midlands due to work (normally based in London) and i was asked to relocate at short notice, so i had been planning on keeping the X9 for sometime but I'm just not happy using the X9 for long distance (hence the Deauville). The X9 is great for London and i'm in two minds as to what to do as i'll be back down permanently at some point!! I'm going to take it for a spin this weekend and see how much i've missed it! Let me know if you might be interested. I'll put up a proper ad if/when i make my mind up otherwise.

Keep the X9 if you don't need the money *right now*.  Truly.   A second bike can be very useful anyway..
