Title: upgrade - engine displacement Post by: x9 rider on October 21, 2009, 07:19:30 hi there,
could x9 250 cc evo motor ( leader engine ) fit into x9 200 cc evo chassis ? Title: Re: upgrade - engine displacement Post by: Dave Milnes on October 21, 2009, 08:02:38 Not directly as the engine mounting drop arm and bearings differ on all three engine types, LEADER, QUASAR, and MASTER.
This means the frame mounting points and design for the cross 'axle' is different too. I doubt if you could retain the LEADER mounting on the QUASAR engine either as even if it fits, the position of the mounting dictates other things like the wheelbase which also dictates rear suspension pick-up points and again the rear suspension units are different on each model which would indicate the lower mountings are quite different in design and position. If you were buying a scrap 250Evo with damaged frame, it might be possible to cut off the required parts and weld them into the 200 frame, or cut'n'shut the whole rear end from around the tank. Not sure about the legality of this though! Title: Re: upgrade - engine displacement Post by: x9 rider on October 22, 2009, 10:17:46 tq for da info dave ....... :D :D
