Title: Radio for my X9 Post by: messmanager on October 20, 2009, 22:53:09 I'm always looking at ways to make my commute a little more entertaining, so today as I pulled alongside an old Hyosung Hyper (horrible bike) I noticed he had a radio fixed to the top. I wondered if I could get one put on the X9 125. I have looked on ebay and I can get a motorcycle 12v waterproof FM radio from china for around £15-20 which seems very easy to fit. Has anyone got something like this fitted? The problem may be it said that the speakers are only really designed for standard handlebars. I'm sure i'm not the first to want music on the move. Can someone let me know cheers.

Harley Davidsons and some cheap Chinese auto bikes have radios built in. Not only that, it is/was mono, and too quiet for an open face helmet. It was the biggest waste of technology I've ever seen on a Piaggio. My advice is to get something off-bike, I currnetly use my mobile phone and a bletooth (stereo) headset on the helmet. Bliss.

I bought a "Pure Highway" digital radio, £60,an extension for ipods and the like giving volume control around £6, mounted it on a bracket on the front of the bike, sheltered by the windscreen, works great, never had weather problems, use it all year round.
