1 hour if otherwise! Start by removing the lower grey side panel. Remove the silencer. Undo the lower shock mounting. Remove the split pin, nut and spacer from the axle. Remove the nuts from the trailing arm to crankcase studs. Slide off the trailing arm and the conical spacer. Remove the 6 wheel bolts. Flex the shocker backwards and weedle the wheel out from under the bike. When refitting coppaslip all the bolts/nuts and the shaft where the bearing slides on. The only problems you may encounter is a stubborn silencer to pipe sleeve resulting in a damaged gasket sleeve so take care twisting the silencer off the pipe, and a stubborn trailing arm not wanting to pull off the axle. Title: Re: How to remove rear wheel on the X9 500 SL Post by: jimc on September 02, 2009, 15:59:16 Often just sold as "Copper grease" - I think "Coppaslip" was either a brand name or has just been adopted as the generic term. Anyone know?
