Yes - it's easy as the four places for drilling the bolt-holes are already marked on the inside of the lid.

Mike thanks for this, I apologise for the above-guess I worded this topic wrongly (Has anyone mounted a rack similar to the type obtainable on the Givi boxes etc), I would like to get a bracket / rack such as the Givi have on their box and attach likewise to my 'Gio top box.

I added the rack more for decoration than tying things to; I'm a bit paranoid about over-loading the topbox - 10kg weight limit - but I use it both to put extra straps from a bag tied on the back seat and to carry a rolled-up old towel to protect the seat from dirty tie-downs on ferries.

I am looking at using this to tie/strap down either a sleeping bag or two and if not, put a fold up tent in its bag-as these items are light, however they can take up space if having a passenger (pillion)...Givi does have the unique idea as some of the sport car models that have this idea for the boot fitments.
In the pic is the BLUE bag which is tent and the clear bag is sleeping bag and a gas cooker...very African in travel, excluding the army fold up shovel some of us used to carry after the good old days of... Kak is in die Kamp! Useful in peace time though. In top box was clobber, washing items to be clean, under the seat would be edibles etc. Will submit the Scots Trip Load pic when this ImageShack allows me to upload
