The frequency of servicing is as follows:-
All models require a first service at 625 miles or four months, which ever's first. Honda powered machines require an oil change only every 2000 miles. The routine servicing is carried out every 4000 miles or twelve months which ever comes first.
Leader and Master powered machines need servicing at 4000 mile/12 month intervals with NO requirement for a 2000 mile oil change, whatever your service book or flashing dashboard icon may try to tell you! You simply check the oil level at 2000 mile intervals using the dipstick and reset the 'oil' icon.

The service intervals of all the 500 and newer 400cc fuel injected bikes has been extended to 6000 miles with 3000 mile interim oil checks. The basic pattern remains the same.
