Poor Thor is very poorly Sunday morning he kept cutting out and miss fired a couple of times but when we went on the ride-out he seemed so much better. Got him out of the garage this morning and he cut out a couple of times, on the way to the childminder he kept on cutting out and miss firing (making a hell of a noise), managed to get to work and phoned Bikers, they said to try and take him over straight away (they are very nice people) Got him there and they had a look at him, couldn't find anything, the mechanic took it out for a ride and it happened to him too So Thor is still there and and I am bikeless Still at least I get to have the day off, one good thing I suppose

Sorry to hear that Julie. Get them to re-fix the left "Lucy-peg" as well, while they're at it.

How strange, Thor seemed to go very well on Sunday. Did they have a loan bike to give you? I hope all is well soon

As someone who's love is very sick at the moment (great BIG hole in the downpipe) I totally sympathise. Should get mine sorted on Friday (come on Gran Sport).

Julie Next time you talk to them, give them hell, for not letting you know what`s happening.

Or they might not have got round to looking at it yet as generally I am not one for complaining Maybe they thought they could leave it a while

Julie, they'll get to it. They know you as a customer - do they know you are a member of this club? I'm sure they're aware of our existence.
It might be one of those problems that has a multitude of possible solutions, so could take time. Just in case it's a known problem, then ring Tony at JT's for a first-thing-to-check diagnosis. If it's not (whatever he says) then could take some time.
Me, I'd check HT lead integrity, then other Italian connectors before assuming anything major. When it works, it works, right? So must be a duff connector or switch somewhere.

Rather well done (except for the security of the left-hand one) extra pegs for a 7-year old called Lucy. (She might be 8 by now) Do keep up at the back...

Went into Bikers today, can't rely on them phoning me The bike was in pieces Saw Kev (the mechanic) he said they could find nothing wrong at all The other mechanic is going to put it back together and road test it, as I am on holiday from tomorrow they have 2 weeks to keep scratching their heads Phil is going to sing to Thor for me when he takes his bike in for a service (sorry Phil, couldn't keep that to myself) : :

Had this happen on my Skipper or something similar, turned out it was the air inlet to the air filter box that while not blocked, had rotten leaves in it and was restricting the airflow - every time it got some damp air, the leaves would swell and the engine would cut and behave very poorly.
Might be worth getting all the HT leads damp sprayed as well...

Welcome back Julie. Ummm, so there is a genuine problem, it even happened to their own mechanic, they've had it for 2 weeks and now there saying they couldn't find anything wrong. Doesn't inspire confidence does it? Hopefully the pulling apart and re-assembly has tightened something that was coming adrift. Time will tell.
