Hi folks ,
am on the Xevo 250 these days (better fuel economy) and after just changing the rear brake pads I noticed she won't start when pulling the rear brake caliper and pressing the ignition button. The fact that when I pull the rear brake caliper the rear brake light also doesnt come on leads me to suspect that something is up with the rear brake sensor. Does anyone have any experience with this and/or tips on how to fix?
Many thanks ,
rob

Problem solved - for some reason I thought that the phase sensor (or speed measuring device) was involved in the brake light - but turns out the switch is somewhere behind the caliper - so with the new brake pad in the reason it didnt light up enough is that I couldnt depress the caliper enough (without a bit more than usual force) for it to actually close the switch. thank you!

I was going to suggest the switch and to verify just start using the other brake.

Started fine on the other caliper - just that I didn't realise where the switch was I guess.

Silly vulnerable place to put a switch, think Piaggio were losing the plot with the Xevo's.
