Hi all
I need your help as to where to get  aerosol paint. The bike is an 06 reg X9 Evo 125 and the colour is Imperial Blue. The code is 204 or possible 204A. I got some from Halfords about a year ago and it was nothing like, despite giving them all the information they asked for.
I am in the north of Worcestershire, 18 miles west of Birmingham, so someone in the area would be a help matching and collection possible but not essential if well recommended.
I need enough for the top half of the top box and a small (about 3in x1in) panel repair.
Thanks
Regards
Allen Morgan

Hi all
Your recommended supplier (local or mail order) still requested. It's only the box and little scratch that spoils the bike.

The only one I know of is http://www.auto-paint.co.uk/carpaint/ who say they can match colours to manufacturers. I get my paint from them but as I'm not matching the accuracy isn't known.
Locally there used to be a couple of paint suppliers who could mix any colour you wanted from hundreds of swatches you could compare against your vehicle adjusting by eye to suit, but they have all gone now as no one repairs things any more.

Hi Dave
Sorry for not responding, had a bit of man flu.
The link did not work but I found them. However on Monday when I went for the MOT (report separate) I was given www.romartautomotive.co.uk in Stourbridge West Midlands, about 6 miles from me. I am told but not confirmed that they do a colour scan/match service.

May I suggest     http://scooterpaint.com/products/204a-imperial-blue

http://scooterpaint.com/t/piaggio-vespa-scooters

Click the Product Options Button and there are 25 different ways of obtaining what you are looking for.

EXCEPT -  International is limited to "Paint Pens and Half oz. Jars are now available for International Orders outside the U.S.A & Canada - Extra International Shipping charges are required - please select the International Shipping Tab and select the product option you would like."

HOWEVER, you can utilize this service, order whatever you want with an "American" address, and they will forward it to you in the UK for a small fee.  https://www.myus.com/

Hello all
A very slack time on the site so I decided to report.
I finally obtained paint, blue imperial for my X9 Evo from Spraywell Paints, Dudley, West Midlands.
http://spraywellpaintsdudley.co.uk
The match is excellent. Garry (who I think is the owner) mixed it to the computer recipe also took it out to the bike to compare it.
Just want some decent weather to carry on with the job.

Hi all
Been a bit quirt here of late, are you all out riding?
Got the painting done. The side panel is only noticeable if you know where to look until the street light came on. This is one of the orange things which changes the colour of everything. It then look lighter but this must be down to a different paint type to the original. The top box is now blue for the top part (lid) and satin black for the bottom and is a vast improvement.
Now I must get out and ride, but when? Do not be deceived, retirement does NOT produce lots of spare time! I don't know how I ever found time to go to work.

Regards
