Hi guys.

Anyone here owned both gs 500 and x9500 in there life ?.

If I was to sell my gs500 for a fuel injection x9500 is ot worth it?

My GS is fast and does 100 if needs be, but would the x9 be on pair with this.

I know I have 2 x9s 250 and 1 x9 125 already so wondering if worth it.

Iam selling my x9 250 and my x9 125 and considering the x9 500 in place of my gs

my SL will do over 100mph in the right conditions, but mostly high 90s as once into the 90s you don't get any acceleration just a slow gathering of speed.

Iv experience 110 on the GS but max with my 250sl the tuned up one max it ever did was 90 at start of red line and on a small wheel scooter it's scary as he'll.

No experience of gs500 (Suzuki?) but a geared roadbike is totally different to a twist and go scoot - weight, weather protection, storage space, as well as speed and acceleration. Think its more a question of what you want to do rather than a bikes capabilities. The 500 x9 is probably no more capable than the 250 x9 unless you need to cover long distances in a day at top speed. The gs500 may be quicker than the 500 but may not be as comfortable so you may need to stop more often (tortoise and the hare)to stretch your legs.  I just bought a 600 Hornet thinking it was a small step up from the x9 500 - not really used to gears etc yet but there is no comparison to speed and acceleration between the two - its scarey quick!!!
