Having adjusted my light tonight to make them a bit higher i accidentally screwed it out to far going wrong way, it poped and screw came out, manage to get it back in and all is sorted and at the level i want now.

But riding home i noticed there is no difference or hardly any difference between the low beam level and the high beam ?

Low beam projects in front of me nice, switch to high beam and it projects a bit further but not much higher then the low beam, feels like 2 low beams headlights.

The X8 is just like the x9, one low beam side other high beam side

The screw has a ball joint on the end which clips into a plastic socket on the main plate that supports both reflectors. Just re-inserting the screw won't re-engage the ball as it is quite a tight snap fit. You will need to remove the lights and take the rear cover off and re-snap the adjuster ball back in properly. Without this the plate just self levels blending the differing settings for each light.
