Had a trip to to Dave miles house. After a lovely coffee and good chat I showed him my shock obsorbers.......

Tell me the shock obsorbers are both upside down!  Explains alot. And never noticed till Dave pointed it out .

I belive there aftermarket shocks.......any x8 owners tell me if there springs are white ?

Original Piaggio rear shocks springs are black

They look to me to be upside down as the springs go right to the bottom cap and the adjuster and the plain length of damper is up at the top.
Having them upside down might explain why they are rock hard as the oil is sitting away from the damping valves which are at the bottom normally.
