just got new to me x8 engine 250 mine is x7 noticed the cover is slightly different the x8 has an air scoop facing forward the x7 faces rearwards can i change these over or will have to fit the x7 one on the x8 is in better condition

It may be to clear different bodywork and footboard shape. I'd swap it to the one that belongs the bike. It may be the same one just fitted backwards, or not.

just swapped them over scoop bit was a different shape
