Hi all,
Piaggio has released Android Version of PMP, so virtually any Android Phone can be connected.
The only problem is the support.
I found on Amazon a support that is perfectly compatible with supplied mounting and comes in three different sizes to fit almost all Phones.
You can find at:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bestwe-Universal-Motorcycle-Waterproof-Samrtphone/dp/B00IFWRD5A/ref=pd_sim_sbs_ce_4?ie=UTF8&refRID=0BQN940MC233C4RD2XP9

I have mounted on my x10 500 and I'm really satisfied, I use an htc one m7.
If you need further clarification simply ask.
When I have the time I will post some pictures.

Interesting. Where do you need to go to get the application for Android phones?

I don't think I've got after all, as I downloaded the android version and it can't seem to find any bluetooth connectivity with the scooter. I've looked in the owners handbook, and there's no mention of the PMP feature anywhere- maybe it's been sold as an extra add on, as i've seen the device sold separately for £160

The PMP unit is a separate extra. It is the electronic unit that transmits the scooters info via bluetooth to your phone. In Europe the cost is around 200€ (approx £160). It must be fitted by a dealer or agent. There is no bluetooth transmitter on the bike as standard, it comes with the PMP. It fooled me as well at first until I realised I needed the extra unit.

This is the link to the .pdf document that describes everything:

http://www.piaggio.si/static/_u/files/2013/01/85a2510b8c418897314f372c087fec95.pdf

Your “exec” X10 scooter came with the universal mount, which can be fitted in the middle of the handlebar, when you remove the Piaggio badge.

4Lock an Italian company make a detachable mount for the iphone which connects to the Piaggio supplied universal mount. Don’t know about other phones.

An iphone connects to the USB plug for power in the left “glovebox” via a usb cable. There is also a power supply under the badge that can power other satnav devices.

Even without the PMP unit your phone will have the scooter’s manual, and you can use it as a navigation device with TomTom or equivilant,
