Author Topic: Left Hand indicator showing on instrument Panel  (Read 3846 times)

Hello all , I have recently purchased a 2006 Piaggio X8 125cc and the left hand indicator light on the instrument panel is permanently illuminated. This does not effect the actual direction indicators.  I am thinking that this is not an electrical fault but rather an indication of an open fuel filler cap , boot or seat? Can anyone tell me if I am right or wrong in my thoughts  and where to start looking to resolve this  problem. Any help would be much appreciated.

Not sure an an X8, but if it was an X9 I'd say it could be an indication of a slight digidash damp problem.
What happens if you trip the hazards on and off a few times? I would have thought if the system is mechanical using a relay to work the indicators rather than the X9's electronic system, that the dash tell-tale is simply wired like a third indicator and if it's LED then maybe there is enough voltage leakage in to circuit to light it up but not light normal bulbs so could be a dud indicator relay.
