reset button for xevo 125 where is it?

hi guys i want to reset the service icons that are flashing on the clock display on my 125cc xevo can some one please help me by telling me where to find this reset button

Isn't it done by pressing one of the buttons on the dash and turning on the ignition or something like that?
It should be in the manual.

He has Xevo 125 not X9 JJ.
There is a manual for the Xevo 250/400 in the help section, but no mention of reset sequence.
My guess is it's like the Nexus.

· Press the "MODE" button for less than 1 second to select the icons in a sequence. The
selected icon must turn on with solidlight.
· Press the "MODE" button for more than 3 second to reset the kilometers of the selected
icon; in the "SERVICE" function it also resets the date.

yes dave i have tried the mode button but all that seems to do is change from km to miles and temp from f to c . doesnt seem to change anything else. not a big issue i know as the spanner icon stops flashing after a while after starting. but then again i would like to still know how to reset it.

  happy teddy   I've been trying for a week to reset the Kilometre clock to Miles on my newish Xevo 400ie, I followed the instructions given in the handbook and all that happened was I got the belt/service icons flashing, I re-read the book, (many many times) while pressing the "correct" button, nothing ... In desperation I was going to ask on the forums if I was doing something wrong as it clearly states in the book *hold down the "M" button for at least 3 seconds while turning on the ignition key* and it turns out the bloody book is wrong, well done Pee aggio

Tried it using the clock button (left hand side) just changes the clock, nothing else. Tried it using the set (M) button (right hand side) this again just brings up the service icons, is there something different on the Xevo 400ie to the other bikes? or does anyone know how to change Kilometres to Miles? thank you in anticipation for all your help

  No one? I shall have to carry on riding in metric till it goes for its first service or tyre change (bloomin MGS on the front, loads of wear left but tyre is as twitchy as a twitchy thing  )

Press the clock button with the ignition off and hold it down, turn on the ignition and release it. each further jab on the clock button toggles between KMs and MLs. When MLs is displayed press and hold the clock button and turn the ignition off.
A similar system is used for the service icons but using the SET button and holding for 3 seconds after turning on the ignition.
This is the general consensus gleaned from various sources/manuals etc and is common for all the later Xevo/MP3/GP800 dashes.

Cor, your knowledge never ceases to amaze me, thanks Dave, I shall try that tomorrow first light but I'm sure thats what I did last time and it just made the  didgidash clock flash and the speedo / rpm needles jump, nothing about KMI, but here's hoping. Don't Pee aggio make things complicated ?

Nah tried that several times, no sign of the elusive "KMI" just get the digidash flashing and speedo/rev counter needles deflecting then the clock adjust starts. Oh well will leave it to the garridge, let them sort it out (or not if they are as competent as usual)

Most resets are now standardised, press and hold down button then turn on ignition and keep it pressed down until the icon flashes. Release and it goes away. S-Wing, Bandit and Burger resets work that way, so mechanics do it, without referring to handbooks.

Thanks Dave (W) mine can't be standardised, tried what Dave (M) said, and you, my icons don't flash like that whichever button I press all I get is the standard service icons flashing or clock reset flashing, nothing changes on the KMI or the CF bits, and what worries me is the deflection of the needles, no one else has mentioned that happening, wondering if I have a short or some duff wiring?

Ohhh err, dunno speedo dial is in KPH/MPH, digidash does show KMI (if you know what I mean) and V5 looks pukka, how do I check, using the VIN Number?

I've tried this a number if times and the same thing happened to me. I thought I was doing something wrong so I gave up trying.

I tried my local Piaggio dealer when I went to price up a new front tyre and fitting  (don't ask, a second mortgage is required) and the garage rep said "simples - fit a new digidash, cost £381 plus labour"  so I'm driving metric from now on

More likely, a batch of bikes imported into the UK by Piaggio that were destined originally for somewhere else.
Seems odd the manuals give instructions to change the setting but it doesn't work.
