Hi there. Greetings from Turkey 

Today I start a new project. I called that "Custom X9".  :: I will share the new modifications of my x9 250 Evolution with you. My English is not good so sorry about this problem  You can ask anything you want about the modifications.



This is my standard x9





Let's start the first modification. Carbon Fiber 











This is my friend Sebo. And those are the parts that going to be carbon fiber. Let's gooo 





First we emery the top case part.

We must do vacuum system for dial cover. Because of the flection.

The current photograph is there... I produced the new black wind mirror for my project.

Last week I buy a xenon system and a variator. It is J costa variator with 12 roller. And I will buy Polini clutch, Malossi oil filter, Malossi air filter, Malossi kevlar belt. And also I will do some exterior modifications.

Do you suggest anything else?

Hi.

In Turkey, there is a place that can be product the same wind screen of X9. It's not a window tint. It's a new pleksiglas product. You can choose two colour. Black and the yellow. The black not so black. It's mixture with brown and black. I asked but they can't product another colours.

The J Costa variator system is reached today. It has 12 roller. Each roller has 15 gr weight. So my top speed must be better. The first acceleration will be faster by Malossi belt, NGK spar plug and Polini clutch.



Now I only wait for my USA orders.

J Costa is the new and the best variator. We test the two variator system. Same scooters (2 X Gilera Runner VXR 200) use J Costa and Malossi variator. J Costa has better acceleration and top speed then other.

I'd NEVER buy anything 'Malossi'.  Over-priced and and sub-standard.

In Turkey the original Piaggio parts are very expensive. For example my X9 250 Evolution clutch is about 260 Euro. But I buy my Polini clutch 57 Euro. The mirrors are about 240 Euro. We don't want to buy original parts in Turkey because of ridiculous price. So I think Malossi is cheap for me as J Costa But J Costa is more powerfull then the other.

Also scooters are expensive as the parts. Gilera GP 800 is about 11.700 Euro. Suzuki Burgman AN650 is about 13.500 Euro. So you can't see any GP 800 in Turkey. But Burgman 650 is very popular. The price are over priced because of the taxes.

And this is the new part of my scooter. I see this part on internet. It's for signal but I don't use it for signal. I will use with the strob lamp.

Authorized services use 5W-40 oil but I buy Castrol 10W-50.

I want to do everything professional. So I think that I must measure the standart specification of my X9 250.
We measure the 0-100 km/s and 50-100 km/s acceleration. I will measure the new specificatin after the installation.

We get result by the Drift Box device. It can show the 0-100 acceleration, 50-100 acceleration, 100-200 acceleration, horse power, tork power, circiut time vs. But we can't see the horse power and etc, because of the automatic transmission. The device is working by the GPS. There are many sensors int the device. The automobile manufacturers like Audi, BMW, VW always use this equipment.

Lets start to measure...











First of all I want to say that Piaggio's indicator is working wrong. When I see the 100 km/s in the Drift Box device, the orijinal indicator show me 120km/s at the same time. So it has a wrong show about 20 km/s

Here is the DBN:



The acceleration is very proportional but its very slow. My 0-100 km/s acceleration is 17.49 sec. My 50-100 kms acceleration is 12.99 sec.

Here is the seconds.

10 km/s speed 0.71 sec
20 km/s speed 1.47 sec
30 km/s speed 2.37 sec
40 km/s speed 3.32 sec
50 km/s speed 4.44 sec
60 km/s speed 5.96 sec
70 km/s speed 7.83 sec
80 km/s speed 10.9 sec
90 km/s speed 13.12 sec
100 km/s speed 17.49 sec

We can see that speed drops after 70 km/s.  So my bike will be faster between the 70 km/s and 100 km/s after the installation the J Costa Variator. The rollers are 15.25 gram. I measure the rollers too



The red line is show us the acceleration. The line which is start at the top and going to down is show us the road slopes. The line which is doing traverse show us the G force.



And this DBN show us the curve of the road.

I will measure the specification after the installation.

Up to 60 it about keeps up with a 500 which is around 8 secs I think give or take one or two, a Treblanc can do it quicker, if this is a true and accurate reading Im glad I bought the 500.

The drift box device show us the 80 km/s speed is 10.9 sec. When I see the 100 km/s on the analog indicator of my bike, gps show me the 80 km/s. If you take a video of your bike running 0-100 you can see that your 0-100 acceleration is about 10.5 or 11 sec. I said that our indicator has wrong shown. So we imagine that our bike's 0-100 is about 10 sec but it doesn't.

I don't know anything about 500cc. You can see that after the 70 km/s speed 80,90,100km/s are come to bad end. But I don't think that 500 cc does that. Becase it has more power then 250cc. But I want to add a note. When I install the modification parts I will race with a 500cc

Don't forget that the majority of the world uses the metric system it's only really the UK and US who sill use Miles... and the x9's speedo has kph as the predominant value on there too.  it's quick enough to convert roughly, just divide by 8 and multiply by 5 (or just got for 2 thirds for a very approximate conversion).

Onurx9, Loving the detailed you've provided for your mod's   The carbon looks particularly good, and the level of detail of all of your work so far is superb!

The 100km mark is pretty much the old imperial 60mph that we traditionally use for acceleration measuring, so an easy conversion. It's actually 62mph but what's 2mph? Less than the variable you will get on repeated tests.

Dave Milnes hi. I measure this result after a busy travel. My X9 made intenseness. The clutch made warm up too. I believe that I can do less time. I will measure the new results after the installation.
