Title: parts made my own
Post by: polecat on May 25, 2014, 17:49:00
well after sitting on my hands for a fortnight waiting for parts from suttons( never will I order from them again) today I made my spacer tubes for the swingarm from 15mm x 3mm wall is a better fit because original the hole is 10mm using 3mm wall the hole is 9mm had a bit of ptfe rod so I made the plastic inserts as well all on my lathe filled the swing arm up with grease as well as adding 2 grease nipples for the future greasing I have also fitted a new rear city grip I will do the other swing arm bit tomorrow so new bearings new spacers new plastic inserts new silent block it will have a new suspension so should ride nice

Sounds like you could go into business knocking these kits out. They are in regular demand and as you say OEM parts are hard to source in reasonable time.

update  15mm tube needs to be drilled out to 10mm easy if you have a lathe so out of bounds for most people
