Title: Heated grips help
Post by: macker19 on October 24, 2010, 20:38:46
Hi guys
Having some problems with my heated grips. The left 1 works ok but the right 1 doesn't seem to be working. I've had a look to see if there was a loose wire but I can't see anything wrong. Has anyone got any ideas what the problem could be. The grip are daytona grips.

Right grips usually fail due to the wire constantly being in motion due to throttle movement and eventually breaking contact internally due to metal fatigue.

I only have them 10 months. I got them put on when I bought the bike. Should they not last longer than that. What heated grips would you recommend for the xevo

I ve got the Oxford ones and they work a treat... the ones with the push buttons and progressive row of lights depending on how hot you go

I had the left grip stop working on mine for a day or so. Took it back to palmers to get it looked at and it started working again half way there. They replaced the grip and they're OK now, could be a break in the element somewhere.

Mine are the oxford digital ones like Pauls.
